Dr. Gallagher moved from Chicago, Illinois to Reno, Nevada in 1973.  After receiving her veterinary technician license in 1979, she went on to graduate from UNR in 1991 with a Degree in Animal Science and then to Ohio State where she graduated in 1995 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  She has been one of the hospital’s veterinarians since 2005, sharing her time between both clinics.  Dr. Gallagher enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as gardening, reading, scuba diving, and horseback riding.  She also loves to travel and has been lucky enough to recently visit Australia and New Zealand.  Pictured with her is her black and tan coonhound named Daffy.  She also has several other pets which include a lab named Pete, a beagle named Scooby, two cats named Tiger and Pepper, two horses named Clancy and Red, and a cockatiel named Birdie.
