Dr. Lingenfelter was born in Pleasant Valley, Nevada, as a fifth generation Lingenfelter, where he was raised on a ranch and began to acquire an interest in animals.  After finishing high school in Reno, he went on to obtain two Bachelor Degrees at UNR and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ohio State in 1987.  He opened his first hospital in Sparks, Nevada in 1988 and with the great success of this hospital, he opened a small practice in South Reno in 1994.  Through the combined success of both hospitals, Dr. Lingenfelter was able to design and build a larger practice in South Reno in 1997.  With his strong work ethics and vast business knowledge, both clinics continue to grow and develop, providing clients and their four-legged companions with state of the art care. 

Dr. Lingenfelter enjoys spending time with his wife, Denise, who is a first grade elementary teacher.  They were recently married in October 2006.   He also enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, playing racquetball, and treating his wife to his delicious gourmet cooking.  Dr. Lingenfelter can also be found volunteering as an auctioneer for the 4-H Club and the Nevada Junior Livestock Program.
