Heather
- Practice Manager
Heather is a native of Arizona; she was raised on a large cattle ranch outside of Tusayan, Arizona, later relocating to a small town in Central Arizona and now resides in the great state of Nevada. She began working for A Plus Animal Hospital in May 1994 as a receptionist and is now the Hospital Director as well as one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians. She acquired her technician’s license through Truckee Meadows Community College and is currently furthering her education to receive her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Her hobbies include; traveling, hiking, snow shoeing and spending time with her friends and family. Some of her furry four legged feline family members include her Abyssinian Tookie and Vedar along with her rescues, Peck, Ty, Fergi and Al Capone. She is pictured here with her Aby Tookie. |

Lyndy
Lyndy is originally from Bishop, CA and has been working at A Plus Animal Hospital since November 2001. She graduated from UNR with a degree in Animal Science and is one of the team’s Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Her favorite hobbies are running, hiking, yoga, and spending time with her family. Her favorite dessert is summer berry pie. If Lyndy could meet any famous person, she would meet Johnny Depp. She is pictured with Zip, her whippet. She also has a cat named Angel. |

Nikola - Senior Technician
Nikola was born in Belgrade, Serbia and later came to the United States in June 2001. He has been with A Plus Animal Hospital since 2001. He has finished veterinary school in Serbia and is planning on going through the AVMA approval to receive his doctor's license in the United States. He enjoys swimming and doing Bikram yoga. Nikola swam the 100 Breast Stroke in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He is pictured with our wonderful hospital resident, Millie. |

Laura L.
Laura is originally from Carson City, though she attended college in Oregon and has returned to Nevada to live in Reno. She was hired in April of 2006 as a receptionist but her passion was to be hands on with the animals. She had previously taken some animal husbandry classes from Oregon State and completed TMCC’s Technician program in 2008. Laura is now one of A Plus Animal Hospital’s Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Andrew
Andrew was born in Houston, Texas and later moved to Reno, Nevada at the age of six. He started working for A Plus Animal Hospital in 2000 as a kennel attendant and in 2002 became a veterinary assistant. Andrew currently completed the Veterinary Technician program at TMCC and is now one of the hospital's Licensed Veterinary Technicians. His hobbies include fishing, watching movies, and spending time with his best friend Jonah. Jonah is a rescue dog that came to the hospital in need of medical treatment and a good home. |

Nancy E.
Nancy was born in Southern California and moved to Nevada when she was 18 years old. She has been working in the veterinary field for 15 years and began working as one of the hospital’s Veterinary Technicians in January 2011. She says the best thing about this job is helping owners understand the family pet better. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with her family, and coaching youth sports. She has an excitable and lovable pitbull mix named Duke. Pictured with her is one of our employee's dogs, Abby. |

Casey
Casey grew up in Del City, Oklahoma until 1997 when he left to join the navy and then moved to Reno in 2004. He graduated from TMCC in May 2011 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. He began working at A Plus Animal Hospital in October 2011 as one of the team's Licensed Veterinary Technicians. He enjoys playing video games, reading books, and playing with his dogs. He has two chocolate labs named Bruiser and Cocoa. |

Brian
Brian is a native of Reno, Nevada and has been with A Plus Animal Hospital since October 2005. He started as a kennel attendant and is now one of the hospital’s veterinary assistants. His hobbies include shooting, playing video games, four-wheeling, and spending time with his family. His favorite dessert is raspberry cheesecake. If he could meet any famous person, he would meet Steve Irwin. Pictured with Brian is his dog, Onyx, a Doberman pinscher. He also has a pit-bull mix named Zoey.

Kellen
Kellen was born in California but raised here in Reno, Nevada. He began working at A Plus Animal Hospital in 2008 and is one of the veterinary assistants. His hobbies include working out and playing video games. He has two cats named Hercules and Gizmo and two Saint Bernards named Joon and Benny. Kellen also plans on furthering his career in the military. |

Sean D.
Sean has been part of the A Plus team since June of 2010. He is planning to become a Veterinarian and is currently enrolled in UNR's Animal Science Program. If he could, he would have a Polar Bear as a pet, visit Ireland, and meet Sean Connery. His favorite dessert is cookie dough ice cream, and his favorite animal related book is 'Where the Red Fern Grows'. |

Jenny
Jenny is a Reno native who began with A Plus in June of 2007. She began as a pet care attendant and has transferred to veterinary assistant. She is currently taking college courses and intends to enroll in the Veterinary Technician program at TMCC to become licensed. She is pictured with her kitty, Sunny but at home she has four more cats and a dog as well. |

Teri
Meet Teri. Teri has been with A Plus Animal Hospital since October of 2005. While she began as a Pet Care Attendant, she has since transferred departments to become a Veterinary Assistant. Teri enjoys gardening, BBQ’s with her family, and taking her dogs, Jager and Zoey for hikes. She also has a little rascal of a kitty named Keira. |

Clay
Clay is originally from Los Angeles, California and now works as one of the hospital’s veterinary assistants. He has been working in the veterinary field for over four years and plans on completing the Veterinary Technician Program to obtain his license. He enjoys martial arts, gaming, and refereeing roller derby. Pictured with him is his cat, Ellie. His other pets include his cat, Aurora, and his dog, Brooklyn. |

Sarah
Sarah is originally from Chilcoot, CA and moved to Reno in 2010. In August 2004 she started as one of A Plus Animal Hospital's receptionists and is now one of the team's exam room assistants. Her passions include hunting, fishing, and camping in the surrounding mountains. Pictured with her is one of her hound dogs, Elvira. Sarah has several other hound dogs whose names are Sonny, Zoney, Maya, and Ethel. |

Sean
Sean began as a kennel attendant in June 2007. He has taken animal science classes at the University of Reno, Nevada and has future aspirations to become a veterinarian. His hobbies include photography, fishing, camping, hiking, and drumming. If he could be any animal, he would be a bear because he loves to eat and sleep. Sean says that the best part of his job is feeling the love and excitement from the animals. His own pets include his two playful Golden Retrievers named Crush and Murphy. |

Shannon
Shannon is originally from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She worked at A Plus Animal Hospital from June 2004-2005 as a kennel attendant and then a veterinary assistant. She began working at the hospital again in July 2010 as a receptionist. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, photography, and reading. Her pets include two cats, Caeli and Icarus. She currently has a degree in nursing, but may attend school in the future to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. |

Michon
Michon is a native Nevadan, born and raised in Sparks. She began working at A Plus Animal Hospital in December 2010 as a receptionist. Her hobbies include horseback riding, drawing, camping, and working on cars with her dad. She plans on attending veterinary technician classes at TMCC. Angela
Angela was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She began working with our front office team in October of 2007 and she is loving it. She is currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno to receive a degree in Business Administration. Her hobbies include camping, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Nicole
Nicole was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon and moved to Reno at the age of five. She has been one of the hospital’s receptionists since June 2005. She is currently attending classes to receive a degree in Elementary/Special Education. Her hobbies include camping, traveling, and hanging out with family. Katrina
Katrina began working for A Plus in April of 2009. She has previous animal experience by doing volunteer work at the Sierra Safari Zoo and swimming with the dolphins in Hawaii. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, coaching flag team, and hanging out with her sweet dog, Smokey and cat, Snitch. |

Rheyl
Rheyl (Rell) is from Bishop, California. She moved to Reno after graduating from Bishop High School in June of 2011. She is currently attending TMCC's veterinary technician program. She has two cats, Tazzi (who is the kitten in the photo) and Baby, a 2 year old, cream and gray siamese. Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. She loves to go hiking, fishing, and hunting. Her long term goal is to become a certified technician and join the SPCA in the fight against animal cruelty. |

Kaitlynn
A native to Nevada, Kaitlynn was born and raised in Fallon. She began working as a receptionist for the hospital in December 2011. She is currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno in pursuit of a veterinary science degree. Her hobbies include Ultimate Frisbee, horseback riding, and reading. She has a cat named Peanut, a dog named Roxy, a rabbit named Pancake, and a horse named Shadow. |

Joan
Joan moved to Reno from Washington State in 2006. Upon moving, she decided on a change in field from human to animal. In Washington, Joan worked in an assisted living facility. She has developed tremendous patience and compassion over the years and is now sharing this with our patients. Joan shares her home with her sweet kitty Leo (pictured). |

Sherina
Sherina is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. She began as one of the hospital’s kennel attendants in June 2010. She is currently majoring in pre-veterinary medicine at the University of Reno, Nevada. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies, hanging out with friends, and playing puzzles. She has a pit bull named Solomon. |

Nancy was born in Santa Monica, California but moved back to Reno several years ago. She is one of the hospital’s kennel attendants and has worked in the veterinary field for seven years. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, and singing. Her family also includes five cats named Possum, Friendly, Smokey, Puff, and Fancy. |

Katelynn
Katelynn is a native Nevadan. She began working as a kennel attendant in January 2011. She graduated from Motorcycle Mechanic Institution in Arizona and is now attending TMCC for substance abuse counseling and veterinary technician. She enjoys four-wheeling, horseback riding, training rescue dogs, and playing tennis. She has three dogs, Lilly, Demo, KC, and a cat named Spazz. |

Melissa
Melissa is originally from Fernley, Nevada and began working at A Plus Animal Hospital in September 2011 as a kennel attendant. She is currently attending UNR for a degree in Biology and Veterinary Science. Her hobbies include herpetology, hiking, and learning about anything she finds interesting. She has a variety of pets including dogs, tortoises, geckos, fish, chameleons, and her pet Boa that she is pictured with. |

Jackie
Jackie is originally a native of Cleveland, Ohio, but spent 18 years in Simsbury, Connecticut, where she attended Tunxis College in Hartford and received her Associates in Accounting. In 1998, she moved to Reno and started working for A Plus as the hospital's bookkeeper. Jackie has two cats named Bandit and Harriet and a dog named Hook. Her hobbies include antiques and collectibles, playing bridge, and welcoming newcomers to the Reno/Sparks area. |

Millie
Millie came into our hospital on January 16, 2007 for a femur fracture. She is now one of our favorite three legged hospital residents. Her hobbies include napping on the doctors’ desk, and helping them chart their files. Millie also enjoys unwinding with us at lunch time as one of our taste testers. |
