Heather

Heather - Hospital Director

Heather is a native of Arizona; she was raised on a large cattle ranch outside of Tusayan, Arizona, later relocating to a small town in Central Arizona and now resides in the great state of Nevada. She began working for A Plus Animal Hospital in May 1994 as a receptionist and is now the Hospital Director as well as one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians. She acquired her technician’s license through Truckee Meadows Community College and is currently furthering her education to receive her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Her hobbies include; traveling, hiking, snow shoeing and spending time with her friends and family. Some of her furry four legged feline family members include her Abyssinian Tookie and Vedar along with her rescues, Peck, Ty, Fergi and Al Capone. She is pictured here with her Aby Tookie.

Lyndy

Lyndy - Lead Veterinary Technician

Lyndy is originally from Bishop, CA and has been working at A Plus Animal Hospital since November 2001.  She graduated from UNR with a degree in Animal Science and is one of the team’s Licensed Veterinary Technicians.  Her favorite hobbies are running, hiking, and yoga.  She has three pets which include Zip, her whippet that she is pictured with, and her two cats, Angel and Rooster. 

Nikola

Nikola

Nikola was born in Belgrade, Serbia and later came to the United States in June 2001.  He has been with A Plus Animal Hospital since 2001 as a veterinary technician and plans on attending school back home to become a veterinarian.  He enjoys swimming and doing Bikram yoga.  Nikola swam the 100 Breast Stroke in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.  He is pictured with one of our favorite patients, Lucy.

Veterinary Assitants

Heather

Andrew

Andrew was born in Houston, Texas and later moved to Reno, Nevada at the age of six.  He started working for A Plus Animal Hospital in 2000 as a kennel attendant and in 2002 became a veterinary assistant. His hobbies include hiking, watching movies, and spending time with his best friend Jonah. Jonah is a rescue dog that came to the hospital in need of medical treatment and a good home. Andrew currently attends both UNR and TMCC, but is undecided in his major.

Katerina

Katerina

Katerina has been working as a veterinary assistant since October 2005.  She was born in Reno but spends a majority of her time in Fallon, NV hanging out with family and friends.  She is currently attending UNR in the animal science program and hopes to attend vet school at Washington State.  Her hobbies include fishing, hunting, showing horses, and raising livestock.  She also enjoys spending time with her dogs Ace, Ty, Rosco, and Jake. Katerina is pictured with Scotty, one of our beloved patients.

Sara

Sarah

Sarah is from Chilcoot, CA where she has lived all of her life.  In August 2004, she began commuting to A Plus Animal Hospital to work as one of the team’s receptionists, later becoming a veterinary assistant.  Her passions include hunting, fishing, and camping in the surrounding mountains.  Pictured with her is one of her hound dogs, Elvira.  Sarah has several other hound dogs whose names are Rip, Sonny, Widow, and Cowboy. 

Brian

Brian

Brian is a native of Reno, Nevada and has been with A Plus Animal Hospital since October 2005.  He started as a kennel attendant and is now one of the hospital’s veterinary assistants.  He is currently taking classes to acquire his Veterinary Technician’s License.  His hobbies include paintballing, snowboarding, playing video games, and four-wheeling.  Pictured with Brian is his dog, Onyx, a doberman pinscher.  His other pets include Zoey, a pit-bull mix, and Charlotte, a red-tailed boa- both rescued from the hospital.

Audrey

Audrey - Lead Receptionist

Audrey moved from Los Angeles, CA to Reno, Nevada in March 1992.  She began working for A Plus Animal Hospital in June 2002 and is now the lead receptionist.  Her hobbies include taking her dogs to the dog park and spending time with her family.  Pictured with her is Duke, a seven year old pointer mix.  Kiona, Akasha, Daija, and George, are her other furry family members.

Becky

Becky was born in South Lake Tahoe and moved to Reno in 1998.  She has been a receptionist since February 2006 and enjoys it very much.  She plans on finishing school at UNR, working towards a degree in social work.  She enjoys spending her free time with her daughter, Jaida, and other family members.  She has a calico cat named Betty Boop and a mixed breed dog named Nikki (pictured with her).

Lori

Lori was born and raised in San Jose, CA and moved to Reno, Nevada in November of 2005 where she began to work for A Plus Animal Hospital as a receptionist.  She enjoys reading, word searches, baking, and hiking with her dog Jonah.  Her other pets include Shasta, an Australian Shepherd mix, and Sydney, a Queensland Heeler.  Lori plans to attend college to study nutrition and dietetics.  Pictured with her is Jonah, a lab mix.

Nicole

Nicole

Nicole was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon and moved to Reno at the age of five.  She has been one of the hospital’s receptionists since June 2005.  She is currently attending classes to receive a degree in Elementary/Special Education.  Her hobbies include camping, traveling, and hanging out with family.  Pictured with her is her black lab mix, Ruger, one of her favorite family members.

Lyndsey

Lyndsey

Lyndsey has been working as a receptionist since March 2008.  She is a native of Reno but has also lived in South Carolina.  Her hobbies include camping, swimming, and hanging out with friends and family.  Pictured with her is one of our boarders, Tyson.

Luis

Luis

Luis is one of A Plus Animal Hospital’s kennel attendants.  A native of Mexico, he has been working part-time since 2004.   When not working here, he enjoys his full-time cabinetry job.  He enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with friends.  He is pictured with Buddy, a Terrier mix. 

Reyna

Reyna

Reyna was born in Colima, Mexico and moved to the United States in 1990.  She began working at A Plus Animal Hospital in September 2000 as one of the kennel attendants.  Her hobbies include walking and hanging out with family.  At home she has a chihuahua named Poo, a hamster named Canela, and two parakeets named Lily and Lilo.  She is pictured with Paco, one of the hospital’s boarders.
Susana

Susana - Lead Kennel Attendant

Susana was born in Acapulco, Mexico and moved to Reno, Nevada in 1995.  She started as one of the hospital’s kennel attendants in December 2004.  In her free time she enjoys playing basketball and taking walks.  She would like to attend school to take ESL classes to further her communication skills.  Susana has a black cat named Ring-Ring who she adopted in April 2006.  She is pictured with Walter, a Newfoundland, one of our largest and sweetest patients.

Tim

Tim

Tim is originally a native of Pennsylvania but has lived in Reno a majority of his life.  He began as a kennel attendant in May 2006.  His hobbies include art, playing the piano, and participating in sports.  He would like to finish school to become a weapons specialist for the army reserves.  He has two dogs, Stella, a pit bull mix, and Junior, a bulldog.  Pictured with him is one of our favorite patients, Einstein.

Kellen

Kellen

Kellen was born in Los Gatos, California and moved to Reno when he was two.  He began as one of the hospital’s kennel attendants in January 2008.  His hobbies include riding BMX and hanging out with his friends.  His pets include two cats, named Squeekers and Samantha, and two dachshunds, named Tuffy and Cookie.  He is pictured with Tuffy.

Cesar

Cesar

Cesar is one of A Plus Animal Hospitals kennel attendants.  He was born in Reno and is currently a student at Damonte Ranch High School.  His hobbies include football and listening to music.
Adrena

Adrena

Adrena began working for A Plus Animal Hospital in June 2008 as a kennel attendant.  She was born in Reno and is currently attending Damonte Ranch High School and R.T.I.  Her hobbies include hanging out at the park with her dog, dancing, running, and hanging out with friends.  She is pictured with her Jack Russell, Mylo.

Jackie

Jackie is originally a native of Cleveland, Ohio, but spent 18 years in Simsbury, Connecticut, where she attended Tunxis College in Hartford and received her Associates in Accounting. In 1998, she moved to Reno and started working for A Plus as the hospital's bookkeeper. Jackie has two cats named Bandit and Harriet and a dog named Hook. Her hobbies include antiques and collectibles, playing bridge, and welcoming newcomers to the Reno/Sparks area.

Hospital Residents

Goat Millie2

Goat and Millie

Millie came into our hospital on January 16, 2007 for a femur fracture. She is now one of our favorite three legged hospital residents. Her hobbies include napping on the doctors’ desk, and helping them chart their files. Millie also enjoys unwinding with us at lunch time as one of our taste testers.

Goat joined our A Plus family on February 23, 2007. She too, came into our hospital with a fractured femur. With a great recovery, Goat now assists our staff during every procedure and keeps a watchful eye on all of our patients as Goat has nosy tendencies.
