Grooming Services

Professional grooming services are part of the complete overall health care program at A Plus Animal Hospital. Our grooming suite features a hydro-surge bathing system, hydraulic grooming tables, and a highly efficient thermostatically controlled pet dryer that is filtered and re-circulates warm air. The groomers work with all canine breeds and cat grooming is also available at the practice located in Sparks.
Grooming fees are determined by the groomer, based on breed of the pet and their coat condition. Estimated fees for grooming can be provided by contacting our receptionists.

All boarding services require that the pet’s owner fill out the practices boarding form either prior to or at the time of check-in. We recommend that clients read through the consent form prior to boarding so that we can answer any questions you may have. You can visit one of our offices to pick-up a copy of the boarding agreement or download it from our website (download PDF or Word file). The boarding form provides options for kennel baths, toenail trims, and medical services, as well as an emergency contact number. We do require that you leave a contact number for yourself or someone whom can make medical decisions on behalf of your pet.

For the safety of your pet and the other patients within our care, your required to bring proof of full vaccinations prior to your pet’s boarding.
Vaccinations, that may have lapsed, should be given at least two weeks prior to your pet’s boarding as this allows for a better immunity response. For more information, see our Vaccine Protocol .
Should your pet have vaccine reactions or written proof that they should not medically receive a vaccine that our practice requires, please call and speak with our staff member prior to boarding.

Board your pet in one of our spacious, naturally lighted kennels. The facility is completely indoor and centrally air-conditioned and heated to provide consistent comfort for your loved one 24 hours a day.
Prices are determined by weight of your pet (one pet per kennel) and services provided by boarding personnel (special feeding or medication administered). If you choose to have you pets boarded together (combined weight limit not to exceed 90lbs), $1.00 dollar will be reduced from the boarding fee for each pet.
The prices listed below are standard boarding fees, including a once a day feeding of our selected hospital food - Eukanuba low residue dry. Please keep in mind that these prices exclude special feeding instructions, own food, and medications being administered.

For special feeding requirements, instructions, and/or medications being administered, the boarding fees increase as follows:
Medication/Special feeding ranges:

Special medical cases that require technician/assistant care while boarding, such as diabetic patients, have an increased boarding fee of $9.50 to $12.50 each day in addition to the standard boarding fees.
Complementary kennel baths are offered after 3 days of boarding. The pet must be picked up after 12:00 P.M. to receive this service. For visits less than three days the bath may still be provided at costs between $20.00 to $40.00.

Separate accommodations are provided in our private cat room for the felines. A quiet, secure and serene environment is essential for your feline’s comfort. Individual cages, large condos with a scratching post, upgrade to deluxe condos with a cat tree are available.
The prices listed below are standard boarding fees, including a once a day feeding of our selected hospital food – Iams original dry. Special feeding and medication administration prices are the same as listed above.
